How to be spectacular: 1,000 cardio rides

What was your 2024 like in terms of your health journey? Mine was a year of progression and I am proud of the consistency even on the days I did not feel like working out. I hit 1,000 spin rides this year and was super excited. Most of my rides were at least 30-45 minutes long. Consistency is the name of the game. I thought 1,000 spin rides was a spectacular accomplishment because it came with a lot of humility and respect for all the times I didn’t want to do it.

I have a Peloton bike that I LOVE. It gives me the comfort of working out in my own home at whatever time is best for me. I will admit that the hardest part of this option is having the self-discipline to workout at home vs going to a class at the gym. I used to have a membership at the local gym, and I truly loved the classes and the fact that in a class with others, I felt obligated to perform and I always felt like I had a hard workout. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I got the bike. I have spin dates with my boyfriend at least 5 days a week and typically early in the morning around 05:15am. We started incorporating weights into our workouts. What I love about Peloton is that the membership offers a variety of workout options as well as stretches and meditations. My son like to do the scenic rides. I personally like the live classes or just the ones with the instructors leading them.

My goal for 2025 is to maintain the consistency of cardio + weights. I also want to focus on nutrition a bit more. I often ‘cheat’ due to the busy work and home schedules. I hope everyone had a 2024 full of progress and I wish you a 2025 blessed with health.
